This is one of those things on which we differ. I don’t think my Higher Power pushes me anywhere. I find it difficult to see that the Supreme Architect of the Universe would say, “Yeah, I think Steve’s having things too easy – I need to screw with his life so he learns some lessons.” My vision is more of the Cosmic Composter – taking waste and crap, and with the gift of light, air and water, turning it into fertile material where new life can grow.
I actually don’t think we differ much. Does got put us through trials or test us? Maybe not? Maybe God just allows us to go through things that help us to grow closer to God?
