Oh no, the dreaded “P” word in spirituality!
Patience.
It’s arguably one of the most difficult things people struggle with, especially when they are going through those rough trials in life. I often hear so many people say, “Don’t ever pray for patience!” but the truth is that it’s a necessary trait to learn if you are trying to grow spiritually. For this reason alone, I have included a prayer today that can help guide you if you are someone struggling with having patience.
“Dear God, people say that patience is a virtue, but I don’t seem to have much of that lately. I find myself instead getting irritated, frustrated, and angry at times when things don’t happen in the way I think they should be happening. I know the world doesn’t revolve around me, my plans, or my timing, but sometimes I definitely act like it does. I pray that You will help me with this. Please guide me God to become a more patient person in every area of my life and assist me in getting to the root causes of why I get so impatient with so many things in the first place. And with each one that I find, I pray that You will help me to remove it so that I may eventually become that person where patience truly is a virtue. Amen.”
Peace, love, light, and joy,
