A Grateful 44th Birthday And 21 Year Sobriety

Well, another year has passed in my life and yet another milestone has arrived. June 11th, 2016 marks 44 years of existence for me on this planet and 21 years of continuous sobriety from alcohol, drugs, and cigarettes.

I’m so grateful to my Higher Power for making it through another year alive and sober, especially given all that I went through during the past one. While I’m not sure what the next year will hold for me exactly, I do feel like there’s some major positive changes happening on the horizon.

Regardless of what’s to come, I just want to thank all those who have been a part of my life and helped me throughout the last 365 days. I know many of you prayed for me again and again, while others spent considerable time with me in person or over the phone, providing me much guidance, love, and wisdom. Please know that all of it is working and I do feel my life getting stronger and healthier with each passing day.

So as I enter my 44th year of life and begin my 22nd year of sobriety, I give thanks to God and to each of you who continue to bless my life. May God bless your life in return and may love and light permeate every facet of your being, as I know each of you most certainly deserves it…
